UvA PhD defence deadlines
At least 14 weeks before the defence, the supervisor submits the approved manuscript and digital version. The doctoral committee’s judgement is due by eight weeks, and three printed copies must reach the Beadle’s Office by four weeks.

VU Amsterdam thesis submission and defence deadlines
The Rector must approve the title page before printing. The library needs the licence agreement at least six weeks before graduation, and five printed copies must reach the Beadle’s Office no later than three weeks before graduation.

Utrecht PhD defence deadlines
For the GSNS process, register and get approval for the title page at least 2½ months before defence. Enter library and communications information six weeks before, then submit printed copies plus the final PDF and cover three weeks before.
